Bruce,
Is there any way (obviously for a future version), to have a feature which will allow bounced email addresses to be unsubscribed in the database automatically? Ie, a 'cleanup' script which admins could run, which will go through the inbox of the sending email address, sniff for 550 bounces (for example), and unsubscribe that email address? I know bounced emails could be ignored, but why send 5000 emails, when 50% of them are addresses that no longer exist. Hope that makes sense. Cheers, Oli

Most email components can not pickup emails, but only relay emails to a mail server.
This means that without special components installed on the server it is not possible to retreave emails from an inbox to process them. |

This would be similar to the upload feature.. most require the purchase of a separate component although there are free ones as well. A pop3 component can be used. There are some examples here: http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/092201-1.shtml
Then, you would have to create a tool that an administrator would run, it would log into a mailbox with the bounced emails and then scan the mailbox for content and based on the contents, remove the subscriber. Plenty of work, but definately doable.
